NEEDS

THE NWF NETWORK PROJECT INTENDS TO COVER A SERIES OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING NEEDS

• Contribute to the exchange of good learning practices arising from non-formal learning activities, integrating the use of open and innovative forestry (NWF) training.

• Promoting actions that contribute to permeability between vocational training (VET) and youth, as well as simplifying and rationalizing tools for transparency and recognition of learning outcomes in non-wood forest products (NWF).

Encourage work-based learning in all its forms, with special attention to training for learning, through the participation of social partners, companies and VET providers, as well as stimulating innovation and entrepreneurship.

OBJECTIVES


1.

Promote better information, transfer and recognition of youth employment and non-formal education at European, national, regional and local level.

2.

Improve the capacity of the VET system in relation to labor market needs in the NWF sector.

3.

Modernize and exploit the potential for economic development and innovation in the EU to increase the competitiveness of the forestry sector.

4.

Facilitate labor mobility, recognition at European level in the labor market by integrating learning based on business practices.

5.

Cooperate among organizations established in program countries in forestry.

ACTIONS OF THE PROJECT


1.

Creation of the "NWF Network" thematic network through which the integrated system of training, qualification (EUROPASS), monitoring, lifelong learning, job creation and tools to promote the transparency of qualifications and the exchange of good practices in non-wood forest products.

2.

Design a European Observatory for New Skills in the Forestry Sector.

3.

Launch the Online Information and Learning Resource Center.

4.

To elaborate a Guide of good practices for the Management and Management of Non-Wood Forest Products.


5.

Design a website for information and dissemination. It will serve as a showcase in which the activities carried out by the Network will be collected, to disseminate information on various aspects of the project, its characteristics, its operation, activities, objectives, achievements.

6.

Implement a training and teleworking platform (Moodle) based on the use of distance learning and open learning experiences.

7.

Conduct courses and seminars on the exchange of good practices in NWF.

8.

Organization of 1 joint training and learning event of short duration (5 days) for educational authorities with the objective of testing the curricular contents, as well as 2 events of combined mobility training in which students and entrepreneurs will participate in the field of non-wood forest resources in order to exchange experiences and good practices in this sector. The Working Group will create a participant selection process.

BENEFICIARIES OF PROJECT ACTIVITIES


1.

Employers, workers and entrepreneurs related to the activities of the rural environment and the forestry sector, especially those working on non-wood forest products.

2.

Educational authorities (teachers and trainers).

3.

Rural social agents, Local Action Groups and Trade Unions.

4.

Young rural women without qualification in search of the "first job" or socially discriminated.

5.

Young people and marginal groups in unemployment situation with finished studies or uneducated that find themselves with difficulties of access to the active and labor life.
