Good practise: EFKARPIA FARM (medicinal plants).

Farm Efkarpia is a family business specialising in the cultivation, processing and packaging production of legumes, cereals, maize, but also herbs as well as their preparations..

  The collection and processing of herbs as well as the packaging of all their products are made by hand. Handmade are also all their herb preparations following faithfully their cultural traditions.

  In Farm Efkarpia nature’s role is the most important for all their crops. The growing of their οrganic aromatic plants becomes naturally without chemicals or pesticides while the natural drying and the gentle and traditional treatment by hand just right after the moment of collection offer to their products their superb quality and uniqueness.

  Farm Efkarpia offers certified quality products and as well as organic products. All their processes and packaging are certified according to ISO 22000:2005 while their organic products are certified by “Green Control”.

  Their personal reflection on “clean food”, for the land and their contact with nature are the main reasons that made them producers and this became Farm Efkarpia’s goal for all their products.

  Today, Farm Efkarpia produces twelve different kinds of herbs, exclusively Greek varieties with modern methods of cultivation care combined with traditional handpicked collection, natural drying and treatment. It is a family business founded in 2012 after having already spent 3 years on research and pilot cultivations of aromatic plants. Moreover, it continues with the production of pulses, cereals and maize – quality crops which count years of experience and constitute their core cultures. Farm Efkarpia and its philosophy is the creation of Fotini Mpliatsou and Themistoklis Lekkas.
